About Me

My youngest daughter as the Panther back when she was at Black Hawk Middle School.

I’ve lived in Eagan for over 24 years with my husband and two daughters. Our girls began their education at a charter school in St. Paul, but when it no longer felt like the right fit, we moved them to ISD 196 — one of the best decisions we’ve made as parents. From caring counselors and supportive administrators to amazing teachers, we’ve felt truly guided and supported throughout their educational journey.

My own path through school was far from traditional. I struggled to finish high school, found direction at Normandale Community College, and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from St. Catherine University with a degree in Art Education and a minor in English Literature. I later earned a Master’s in Art History from the University of St. Thomas and worked at the Goldstein Museum of Design before becoming a stay-at-home parent. I’ve remained active in the community by volunteering in my children’s schools and serving on nonprofit boards.

Education runs deep in my family — we’re a long line of teachers, specialists, and administrators, including my grandfather, who capped his career as Director of Finance for Iowa Public Schools.

I’m honored to now serve on the District 196 School Board, building on our district’s successes while ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. I remain committed to closing the achievement gap, celebrating the diversity in our communities, and improving graduation rates through inclusive, student-centered policies.
